We put the questions to the best possible person — Slavěna Albastová, a Czech model and domme whose looks and style make her stand out in the small pond that is the Czech BDSM scene.

First things first: you are an absolutely beautiful woman. Are you Czech, or is there some family from abroad in the mix?

Thank you kindly. Yes, I’m Czech. My mum is originally from Chechnya, though — that’s south of Russia. She was travelling around Europe, ran into my dad here in the Czech Republic, he promised her the moon, and in return she gave him me and my sister 😀

If I’ve got this right, you work mainly as a model and a domme. What brought you to it, and what do you enjoy most about it?

There’s definitely more than that in my repertoire. I’m a fetish model, a latex model, a domme, a photographer, an artist, a camera operator, a go-go dancer, a manager, a producer, a showman, a costume designer, a scriptwriter… Work finds me on its own. Sometimes I get an idea myself, sometimes somebody comes and asks whether I could do a thing 😀 What I enjoy most is that I never have to pretend to be anyone else.

We see you as a creative soul who knows what she wants — and a very smart one. You have a university degree too, mechanical engineering, is that right?

That’s exactly it. It was always hard for me to decide whether I wanted to do technical work or art. I couldn’t do without either. And in the end I’m not that far from engineering anyway. 50% of my job is logic. I think I have an advantage over other models, because I do everything myself — the photography, the websites. I know models who can’t even post anything on Instagram 😀 The moment one of them is a bit more successful, there’s a capable bloke behind it.

I’m asking because people often put women who have anything to do with erotica into boxes. What’s your take on that?

I actually agree with most of it. I always wondered why people assumed I sleep with photographers. I never slept with a single one. But after five years I started hearing stories about women who sleep with pretty much anyone. So I do understand where the general opinion comes from. Either way, I know plenty of girls who, paradoxically, present themselves as the picture of respectability — nothing but formal outfits in their photos — and meanwhile they’re cheating like mad and getting roles and jobs through the bedroom. And I know a lot of strippers who have been completely faithful to their partner for years and would never cheat. Maybe they’re the most faithful of all, because they’ve had quite enough of men already 😀

As for intelligence — I know a latex model who works as a doctor in a hospital, and another latex model who’s studying nuclear physics. Both from Prague. The fetish crowd knows exactly who I’m talking about.

Has a client ever come to you with a request you found bizarre?

That happens all the time 😀 At least once a day.

When you watch dominatrices on television, on Netflix say, does it show the job the way it really is, or is it completely off?

It depends. Every domme is different, works differently, has different clients, different stories, different options and so on. In Germany and England the money is better, but you have to work like a Swiss watch. Honestly, I have no idea how Czech dommes are doing. Personally I only know older ladies out in the villages, and they’re absolutely lovely. They were delighted when I came to visit.

A doctor has a doctor’s bag. Do you have a travel case of tools you take everywhere with you?

I always have one big suitcase, and I know it fits a maximum of two pairs of boots, three outfits, oil, a whip, cosmetics, two black bras and one white one, plus the corset and gloves that can never be missing. Oh, and shoe polish, one strap-on harness, a bigger and a smaller dildo, condoms, lube — in other words, exactly what you don’t want anyone opening at the airport 😀 Which did happen to me once here in the Czech Republic, because my servant didn’t realise he was supposed to put it in the suitcase, not in the carry-on bag that goes through check-in 😀 So there they were, unpacking the whips and the cuffs… and everyone at the other desks froze solid too. And I was wearing a red fur coat, leather leggings and boots.

Do you think there are a lot of clients in the Czech Republic who love BDSM and seek out dommes, or are people only just warming to it here?

I honestly couldn’t say. I’m a “baby” domme, so I don’t have the experience to compare. There used to be a lot going on at OWK (The Other World Kingdom), and dommes from abroad still gather there today.

When I’m abroad, people love my corsets from the Czech label LatexVogue, the PVC accessories from Hololatex, and they’re drawn to Míla’s Iron Wings Dungeon, where I work. Those three things leave people completely stunned. It always makes me feel proud of this country and the capable, talented people we have here. But in my view Czechs are still afraid to let themselves go.

If I wanted to be a domme, what would I need — character-wise above all?

You should give it a go. If it turns you on, then that settles it 😛 But if you’d rather have a gag in your mouth, you’re more of a sub. And if you like both, you’re a switch.

You’re a beautiful woman and your style is completely your own. Do you have go-to designers you like to wear, or does it depend on whichever piece you fall in love with?

There are subs who always want to buy me something they’ve picked out themselves. But unless I do it my own way, I don’t like it and I don’t wear it. Everything is unmistakably my style, which is fairly obvious. People on TikTok openly laugh at that style because it’s kitsch — I agree — and then other models go and copy it 😀 It has already happened that a Czech girl renamed herself Slavěna (it wasn’t her name) and started making money off my name as a latex model called Slavěna 😀

Your fans adore you. Apart from a one-on-one session, is there anywhere they can meet you? Will you come to the erotic fair to hand out a few autographs and a few strokes of the crop?

I love the fans too. Not long ago I had a fit of temper and shouted at a woman in voice messages, which she then published on a fetish page. It made me incredibly happy that the fans stood up for me. They told her to leave me alone and behave herself. Honestly, you could see that people here are glad I’m around and that they have a deep understanding of me.

You can run into me out and about, when we’re shooting latex and boots. I’m in Prague most often. But I don’t go out much on my own, because I’m careful.
